Fields of Sight
A soft, vanilla silk moon, soon to set;
The call of a morning bird, I met
Never to know, a loss of thought;
Never to see the moon set,
Softly lowering, beyond crests view,
I cling to my heart, with thoughts of you;
My God has spoken, in the fields of sight,
High in the heavens, the moon at night,
With a bright and warming closeness, I feel,
I often wonder, if all this is real,
I call out to the soft glow within,
I call out to know, why, and when,
My longings fall, as the clouds to the wind;
My heart breaks with love, deep within,
A tear, a sob, a calling too;
The one True God, whom we all knew;
