A GRAND OLD MANSION
I was shown a Grand Old Mansion all tattered and torn’
Its timbers were gray’ with age’ weathered ’and worn
As the tears fell from my eyes’ and a song in my heart’
I knew of this old mansion
As I was a part’
As I stepped toward the old stairs I started to cry’
I heard the old timbers as they moaned and sigh’
Then I looked to the top where I since a cry and heard a voice say’
All of my days are gone bye I cannot stay’
I stood the test of time and was grand all my day’
Then a silent smile across the gray’
I must leave this old mansion’
I will leave it today’
I will rest in the ground’
I will rest in the clay’
For I shall be new in less than a day’
Cheer and smile let your sadness flee’
For the Master Builder has created a new one for me’
I twinkle and sparkle and dart though the air’
We will sing and laugh for in time’ we will all be there’
The Master Builder Himself Has built the Stair’
